What's New at Reitter Management . . .
October 1, 2011 - Winter is coming, despite the initial warm start to Fall. Prior to September 15 all of our residential apartment buildings underwent their seasonal heating startups, along with the usual seasonal central boiler maintenance and fine-tuning. Reitter Management constantly looks for ways to improve energy savings and reduce energy use while maintaining comfortable living environments and clean, fresh air flow throughout its buildings.
May 11, 2010 - HST is coming (July 1), and as soon as we figure it out we'll be notifying all of our tenants about what they'd be paying if the province hadn't stepped in and given tenants an HST holiday. Tenants should keep in mind that Landlord's will still have to pay the HST on their behalf. The situation is outrageous in our opinion. Taxes we hate, but this is the first time that we've had to pay someone elses's as well as our own. What gives?
May 2, 2010 - It's raining in southern Ontario, and most of April has been mild, mild, mild - an unusually seasonal Spring so far. Landlord's who cast caution to the wind and plant too early are still in for disappointment though, because frost is coming. Anyone who plants annuals before the May long weekend is usually making a mistake.
April 19, 2010 - You never know when your Superintendent will knock. Mind you, the loud noise coming from your stereo is probably what lured the Super to your door. If anybody outside your apartment can hear what's going on inside your apartment, it's too loud. That's the rule.
